Jazz at the Jailhouse
A stellar jazz sextet performs a musical tribute to the jazz composer and pianist, Horace Silver. This legend of Hard Bop and founder of the Jazz Messengers is celebrated by Brighton Jazz Mafia. Pianist Joss Peach takes the role of Silver with vocals from Sara Oschlag. Alex Bondonno (saxes) and Chris Coull (trumpet) lead the audience through the musical story of Silver's life, his compositions and his interpretations by other iconic performers. This all-star band re-ignites the magic of one of the greatest jazz composers, keeping alive the wonderful music of Silver. Hardened jazz fan or not, this evening will entertain and delight.
